All Initial CFI check rides must be done with the FSDO if done in Houston. You may take your check ride with any FSDO that you prefer. Add-On CFI Ratings and Reinstatements may be done with a DPE. While you may use any DPE you choose, CFI C.A.R.E. highly recommends the following examiners in the Houston area:
Dan is a local DPE and pilot. Dan is a pilot for a major airline and is the CEO and Chairman of the Board for Dan Jones International Airport located just West of DWH. Dan conducts check rides for all ratings.
Terry is a local DPE and pilot at DWH airport. In addition to being a pilot for a major airline, he is the owner of Texas Bush Pilot’s Seaplane School. Terry conducts check rides for all ratings.
CFI-C.A.R.E will coordinate scheduling of either of these Examiners for your check ride. |
